Hi all,

I've just received a call from DG MARKT. I haven't seen anybody referring to that DG but still maybe you'll find the information useful. I've emailed the DG on 20th of May and they told me today that have just preseleted some candidates that they are interested in and they're starting to call now. So, for those who still haven't received any call yet - I think it takes really long time for some units to go through all the applications.

Heart attack - I just received an email from the unit with which i had an interview with (Sanco) They replied to my email after the call, where I was thanking for calling and that I would be very much interested in working with them.
She was just referring to the HR department which will contact me and thanking me for the great interest I showed. Even though she's out of the office this week, she still replies to my mail.. I guess that's not bad so far
but no time frame ..

please let me know which unit call you? I've also lobbied for Sanco.

D2 is the only unit I have heard from so far. They called me on the 17th and 22nd.

seems either they are overloaded by the number of possible trainees or these guys really take their time.. also lobbied for E4

Got another follow up call from DEVCO D...

This time a conference call with 2 or 3 people and in two languages. It took like 30 minutes, luckily in my lunch break (not theirs, I am in another time zone).

Many questions and quite relaxed atmosphere; what a stressful day (and I actually have a lot to do at work today).

Just out of curiosity:
Do you guys know if they have some kind of country quota to fulfill? Looking at the statistics (more or less) seems to be the same ratio in relation to the number of applicants from that country.

I don't know about a country ratio. Almost the same number of Germans, Italians etc. doesn't let it look like that.

Well I have a bit a specific profile as I worked and lived in Africa for a bit and lobbied according to it. (Have a M.A., several internships, some research and work experience).

I did from the DG Justice, C Unit , they were asking for an address of my employee to send a letter dont know why , and I didnt ask ... Few days before it they were contact me to ask for my availability in October, but no interview

- a large part of DG Justice and its units (many of them haven't even replied). i know that unit c.1 isn't taking any. ~ anyone of you got a message/call of the other units?
- legal services. No reaction ~ someone else?
- SANCO A.2. Also no reaction ~ who else lobbied here?
- DEVCO B and R.3. Not heard anything from B, but I did got something from R.3, they are searching.
- Competiton unit C. Also no reaction. I think they have someone by now.
- ECHO B.4. No reaction
- EMPL B.2. Also no reaction, anyone else lobbied here/heard something from them?
- int market D. Again, no reaction.

Anyone else interested in the legal units?

from dgcomp unit F1 they told me they already have their trainee, and i just got a call from a2 dg justice. no response from legal services

Call from DG Comp Unit C2 last week to ask about my interest in the fields and my availability, no news about their decision since.

Trust me I was so curious to ask her what type of letter is , but I didnt want to sound rude. I gave her emailing address , than she said that she needs a postal address to send a letter of Mr Paul Nemitz. Which was weird for me... but now I am waiting for the letter, actually my employee, but firstly it goes in my hands as I work in the Cabinet ....

I have nooo one single idea, what this means ... is it promising or not ... Waiting is killing me

Yes, very interested (as well as in any other unit dealing with legal/regulatory aspects of media and telecoms actually). let's hope for the best for all of us

I received a call from the Turkey Unit under DG-ELARG. Just letting you know in case you've lobbied in the DG and are interested whether or not they're working on the applications now.

They asked why I'm interested in that particular unit and some additional questions about my CV. Also, they warned me that it constantly rains in Brussels, so it's not really worth going there at all.

The man I spoke with ended the call by saying "see you later this year", which I take as a positive sign.
