Pre-selection

No, i cannot login as well...

To be honest I am losing hope moment by moment. It's been a while since one commented that he received a mail, suggesting that the job may be done.

I can't log in either. Possibly the server crashed because of many people entering. I hope this is the reason we did not got the mail yet

Btw, is the e-mail personal? i.e. it says "dear applicant" or "dear Mr ..." ?

It says "Dear candidate"

I think we can keep on hoping until like tomorrow... Otherwise, it seems like they have several thousands of email to send, so maybe they'll continue sending at night (if it's an electronical stuff) ...

Hi all! I'm from Spain and I sent my application the last day too... and I haven't received anything :S So, unfortunately I believe the country theory is not valid. I guess, I'm not in Good luck for the ones pre-selected, though

I still find weird that so many of us did not receive anything...

I'm from Poland and I have received the email around 12.30pm today, but I wouldn't loose hope!!
I believe they are sending it by countries too, Poland for eg. has number 5 in each email, so probably other groups of countries have a different one...

Hi guys, I'm from France and I have received the email at 12h44. Applied for DG Budget.

OMG...this waiting is worse than a casting! (never been, but Pop Idol seems less stressful haha).
I'm Spanish and didn't have an answer yet...I don't feel my fingers any more, all day crossing!but I think I should be realistic and my theory is that the email confirming doesn't depends on the country, on the DG or on the date we submit the application, but simply PRESELECTED or NON PRESELECTED. And it makes sense...I mean, people who are preselected need time for preparing all the documents, but the rest (like me) can wait just one day more.

Anyway, I don't give up hope, and the most important thing: for all the people not preselected, please do not give up, carry on whith your studies/works/language skills, etc...and try it again on January or whenever. I met a trainee from my University and she told me that she tried twice: the first time she wasn't even preselected, then she did a master degree and a got a little of working experience...she tried again and she achieved it (obviously she has no word to explain how amazing the experience was).

Congratulations to the ones who received the email and good luck for the next step.

On behalf of the Traineeships Office Unit of the European Commission, I would like to inform you that the pre-selection phase of the session March 2014 is currently being conducted and it will soon be completed. Immediately after, the eligibility check of the applications pre-identified to be included in the Blue Book will start. If you have been pre-identified to be included in the Virtual Blue Book you will be requested on November the 18th to provide all supporting documents........
..... Should you consider that your application is solid enough to be pre-selected for the Virtual Blue Book, I would strongly advise you to start preparing copies of the above mentioned documents, taking into account that you will only be given 7 working days to send them to us by registered mail: from November the 18th until November the 26th."

My problem is not that i'm not pre-selected..but the fact that i don't know it yet for sure! It's better to send me an email te;lling me ".....you are not eligible..." than this...it's very stressful

I totally agree I'd like only to know if I've been not preselected for sure!

How to waste a whole day  

Merinz, yeah, we did receive it. Now, I am reading it again, for one more time, and it says that:

"If you have been pre-identified to be included in the Virtual Blue Book you will be requested on November the 18th to provide all supporting documents."

The way I get it, the pre-selected ones will be requested today (specific date) to provide the documents etc. It does not mention that the rest of us (probably the non pre-selected one   ones) will also receive notice today...

I am not sure, just a thought..
