Hi all just received this from DG JUST....nothing special but just though I'd let you all know:

'Dear Candidate,

Thank you e-mail(s) to the Home and/or Just services demonstrating your interest in our DGs. Our services have transmitted their selection to DG EAC, which will inform you on the results.
Yours sincerely,

SRD Home-Just – Team'

Nope  Neutral I haven't received any phonecalls from the EC. I specified "legal" as my preference in the motivation part. I wonder whether any of you guys who did the same have had any interviews?

Maybe it's a good sign and they don't get in touch with their candidates at all. Londoner, where did you do your law degree? Because I actually did mine in London, at KCL Wink

Hi!
Me too, I received this message both from HOME (last friday) and JUST (this morning)...
My area of preference is also Legal and I didn't received any call from EC, for interviews and stuff, even if I have lobbied.
I'm just here holding my nerves and waiting for 2nd June.
Good luck everyone  Wink

Ania, I was in UCL.

Although I also lobbied DG Just, I did not receive this reply from them (only from DG Home), would it be a bad sign?

I don't think it's a bad sign - I got my reply only today and I think they have quite a few mails to go through, so you may still get it.

Or maybe you didn't receive a reply because you're already booked by another unit so they wouldn't bother. See, all depends on your perspective Wink

just go this from DEVCO/G Latin American and Carribean

Thank you for interest expressed in joining our team. However, we have already made our decision for selecting  trainees.

I think most units have pretty much selected their trainee by now, we can just hope for some late turn downs by fellow trainees

Thanks thomas04

I also received the same message seconds after I posted my question here.

Do you know anything from other units?

Hey!

Did all of you who lobbied these units receive this e-mail? I lobbied G1 and G2 and haven´t received nothing so far...

Hi MartaPL

I don't have any news from these units. Do you know anything about the EEAS units? I read you had an interview with one of them

Hey,

I didn´t have a real interview :/ They called me from Mexico and Central America division just to check if I speak Spanish and if I would be interested because they are preparing sth like a shortlist...but it was 2 weeks ago and they never called me back :/

This waiting makes me quite nervous...especially that I havent´t heard nothing back from DEVCO units :/

Hey thomas04,

I have a BA and MA in international relations (MA more specifically in international development cooperation). I did an internship in Spain in a local NGO and was working with Latin American and African immigrants there and now I´m finishing 1-year internship in a foundation in Colombia working in educational projects.
But I have never worked neither in Mexico nor in Central American countries...
Anyway they just called me to check my Spanish and it was a very short conversation in which i didn´t really say a lot...but the lady told me that good level of Spanish is really important for them. I guess they already found someone with fluent Spanish and background relevant to these countries.

Do not worry ! Maybe it's just an impression as we all are very nervous waiting for a call.

May I ask what unit it was? Smile

@vomit75!
Thank you for your answer!!

---------------------------------------------------

As you may know from previous posts, this is the 3rd time I have been pre-selected so...
1st time: I did a really late lobby, I had a call but finally no selection for me!
2nd time: I lobbied really early, no calls and no selection for me!
so...
this time I have not lobbied...
I have been contacted from 2 units (one from DG connect and the other from DG research).
Both of them told me that there MAY BE a trainee position in their units and asked me about my availability, my profile and my interest in the Unit work!
I do like both of them and I am hoping in something good but they have highlighted they were not sure about having the position and did not mention anything about shortlisting etc. They only told me I will know from TO in middle of June!!

So really scared!!!
2nd of June seems so far!!!

@Angelapia

do you think the fact you haven't lobbied played in your favor this time? or would you say your profile has gotten more "interesting" since the last 2 times?
