Does anyone have information about the application statistics? Where can I find info on that?

Just checked the website. It seems that the statistics for this session has not yet been uploaded.

The statistics for the March 2016 Internship has been uploaded recenty.
There is about 10 000 applicants.

Thank you Olga. It looks like there are not sooo many applications in this session. And number of non-EU nationals is not big as well. I hope there will be more opportunities. BTW anyone from non-EU countries here?

I applied once as a non-EU applicant,was preselected... but was not selected.
and then I got EU-citizenship, applied several times as EU-applicant and was not even preselected ....

yes, I am a non-EU applicant and its my first time applying for the traineeship. Do you know if it matters whether its the first attempt or not? I am afraid many people applied for more than one time and I might have less chances...

I'm also a non-EU applicant, from Canada. It's my second time applying (wasn't preselected the first time), but I am hopeful this year with the lower number of applicants it will help us.

wow, a lot of non EU applicants here I am from China, and this is my first time applying.

If you are curious, complete statistics are now out on the website for the October 2015 traineeship. Surprisingly, even if there was a record-breaking number of non-EU candidates, there were only 16 trainees selected! So the odds of getting a position were 1/802! pfff
