JDP Program 2015/2016

Hello to everybody!

Does anybody have any news on the new calls for application to JDP? I see it is not out yet, but last year the deadline was set on the 3rd of March, so I assume it should be out soon.

Hey On the website they say it will be published in June

"The call for expression for the Junior Professionals in Delegation (JPD) Programme will be published at the beginning of June 2015. Please visit our website regularly for more information."

BTW I just asked the Hungarian Representative Office, they said they will decide till June whether they will extend the contract of the actual interns. I hope they will decide to give the opportunity for new interns

Now that the regsitration is opened, do you know which are the geographical areas referred to in the application form ? I wonder if there is a list or if we should just write indications as west africa or east asia... ???

I was wondering about the same. I have no idea therefore how to fill the application form - I thought I am alone with this problem. I checked the information docs but it wasnt written there either. :S

I sent my application for the EEAS list. I have so many doubts about it... I just wonder if I indicated my preferred geographical area in the correct way; I mean, there was no indication in the information documents. What did you put?

Has anyone received an invitation for an interview from his/her foreign ministry or has already done the interview? I have my interview at the Austrian Foreign ministry this week an wanted to share experience with you all.

Annap & Agricola: Did you receive a recognition of your application or just the interview invitation? I think I'll call the Foreign Ministry on Monday and ask them about my application...

Hello all,

I'm from the UK, which has not seemed to take the process as seriously as the other MS. Does anyone know which delegations the JPD trainees are actually sent to? I don't think, for example, that New Zealand has ever had any.

I'm a candidate from Malta and haven't heard anything yet. I guess I should take that as bad news.

I remain somewhat optimistic as the deadline for each MS to submit their list of pre-selected candidates is the 30 September 2015. I have a friend who is in the current JPD program and she was only informed that she made this list on this date.

How were the interviews? What can I expect to be asked?

I had an interview last week, but I spoke to other candidates from other MS who had entirely different experiences...The selection process appears to vary hugely from country to country so it seems useful only to get information from other applicants from your MS...

Do you mind saying what MS you are from? I haven't heard anything from my MS which is rather disheartening.

I also had the interview, and they said that the results should be out very soon...

October is the matching month. November is the month in which the EEAS And EC's decisions are communicated to the MS and December is the month we are informed as to whether we got the position and where we would be stationed. This is all according to the JPD specific website

Thanks a lot for your reply. You are right, this is what the website says. There is a document on the same page saying that the ones who make it into the final list will be contacted by EC/EAAS to be informed that their profiles are on a database from which the delegations will select their favorite. Since the final selection and the who-goes-where procedure is in October, I suspect the ones who succeeded will be contacted within October. So maybe someone by any chance know something more specific

Could you link me to this document or quote the relevant parts?
Also does anyone have anything to substantiate these claims - that we may find out by October? I think it's optimistic to think we will find out by October

It is the second pdf document "implementing rules of the high level traineeship programme" section 3.3, the paragraph following the list of the selection's criteria.
