Has anyone been contacted by the EEAS or EC?

No, it's too early. I know that in previous rounds applicants were initially contacted to let them know if they were successful or not. Shortly after that they were then contacted with the proposed posting. I expect the initial communication should come in November.

Let's hope we hear from someone soonish. If anyone hears anything, a post informing us all here would be most appreciated.

I am also waiting for some feedback. Do you think will we be contacted by the EC/EEAS before getting the official results from the MS? Do you have an idea about the number of preselected candidates by country and function?

I think it is rather optimistic to wait to be contacted by the EC/EEAS, despite what the rules of implementation say. I think it is more likely that we will hear from our MS in December.

No idea about pre-selected candidates. I know that theoretically they are supposed to be 4-8 names long. Nonetheless, I know of a MS that submitted a short list of around 25 names for the last edition of the JPD program.

Any news so far? According to the timetable, the matching should have been completed. Has anyone been contacted by his/her FM or EEAS?

Nothing from my end. According to the timetable, the matching is complete by November and the decision is communicated to the Member States. It is only in December that they pass on the decision to the chosen applicants.

Either way, I think the 3rd November is still early for the EEAS decision to have been passed onto the Member States.

I'd welcome anyone with any other advice/opinion.

Thanks MedinaDude, I understand. However, according to their Implementation rules document they contact the selected candidates directly, which is I was wondering if anyone has been approached so far. It seems, as you said, we will still have to wait

Well, they have definitely made their decisions. Croatia has published the final results of the selection process, which implies that EC/EEAS had provided them with the final selection results. The question is whether all MSs recevied these results and when/how they intend to communicate them.

I just received my results from Malta. I have ranked 3rd and thus will likely not make the final choice. It was a pleasure talking with you all here and I wish you all the best in the future!

Do you think all the MSs have already contacted the preselected candidates about the results? I haven't heard anything from my MS..

Anybody have ANY clue when we might hear about the postings? It's been a month since the initial results...

Did people get their location? I'm hoping that some people have dropped out.

Just to keep you updated: locations were given by telephone around 3 weeks ago, formal traineeship offers were sent last Friday. People have to send supporting documents and accept the offer by 11 January. I suppose that after that, they may contact people from the reserve list.

Firstly I hope you are all enjoying the holidays. I hope you lead more exciting lives than I do, as I currently research these forum posts on Christmas Day

I'm writing this as I cannot believe this has happened. I received a phone call on the 21st December saying that I was offered the position as the previous applicant dropped out. I received all the documentation soon after this phone-call. I signed and sent the traineeship form on the 23rd December. Were all of you bound by the same deadline of the 23rd December to send in a signed copy of the Traineeship Agreement Form?

I also have the same deadline of the 11th January for the supporting documentation.

I would love to receive some more recognition from the EEAS that they received the traineeship form. I had resigned myself to the fact that I would not be part of the JPD program. To be accepted so late into the year and so near to the deadline was something I was not expecting. By nature I am pessimistic and expect the offer to be revoked or some other issue to crop up that results in me being withdrawn from the program.

That I am likely (Again - I am a pessimistic, it doesn't seem likely, it seems certain as I received all the forms and the official agreement form etc.) to be part of the JPD program has not yet registered in my mind.

Looking forward to hearing from other people.

Also, further down the line a facebook group should be a good idea.
I tried to create one but I need to add someone to the group - as I don't know any other JPD's yet, it wasn't possible to create the facebook group. Maybe someone can Private Message me their facebook name/profile link and we can create the group together?
