March 2020 Schuman traineeship at the EP

Also nothing here, shortlisted with DG EPRS, sent documents 1st Jan. Status still "ongoing".

I think the status will remain ongoing until mid-feb. In any case I am first among the reserves for my unit, or so they told me, so I will just go for the EC. Good luck to everyone!

I got offers elsewhere, so even if they contact me with an offer at this stage, I'll reject it. 15 Feb is just simply stupid, not sure who decided to construct this application process in this way, but the person needs to go and do something else with their life.

I got an offer for the EP Traineeship at the Directorate General for Translation (Portuguese Unit). If there's any other EP / DGT future trainees around, or anyone whose internship starts March 1st and is still looking for housing in Luxembourg, please contact me!

Did you receive your offer straight after the deadline for submitting the documents, on 15 January? or later? Congrats!

I completely agree with you - it is not applicant friendly at all.

I just received my offer today, so keep an eye on your inbox over the next few days. I was told the document review is what's making this process last so long, so fingers crossed you all hear from them soon!

So I was shortlisted for two positions (DG Translation Danish and DG Communication Liaison in Copenhagen) on the 1st January, but they both still just say "Ongoing" and I haven't heard anything since I uploaded the documents - I did that on the 2nd. What does that mean?

That's why drives me crazy. I don't think we're going be selected if our status is still "on-going". If so, how do they want us to manage moving to another country, arranging accommodation, give notice to current employer and final to dos... In 2 weeks? Then,this waiting makes me nervous as I've just started working at other company one week ago.

I emailed them on Friday to ask for some sort of update, will post when/if I get a response. Otherwise I'd say hang in there, we have no clear picture of what goes on in TORU and it is only the last week of January.

"You will be notified about the results of the selection procedure by the 15th of February. At the moment we are not able to provide you with further information."

So there you go..

I received the same exact email this morning. Why did some people get some more detailed information about their position on the list? This whole process is so unfair and not transparent.

Who knows. We're only annoying ourselves more overthinking it, but knowing that won't stop me!

Got my offer today for the Culture and Education CULT Committee post A. The wait is anxious but from what I know a friend from college got her offer on the 10th of Feb last year so there is still time guys. Best wishes from Ireland

I think the best thing to do on this forum is to post the offers as they come. It is anonymous, so why not. Good luck everyone !

Thank you so much Andrei ! Nope no interview just an email offer that has to be accepted within a 3 day window but it might be differenr for other DG's. You got this guys !

Got the same nonsense reply a week ago or so. This is a lazy copy-paste e-mail that they are sending to those who enquire about the status of the application.

Hi all, and congratulations to those who've already received an offer!

By chance, is there anybody else among those reading who was shortlisted for the Policy Department for External Relations - Eastern Partnership and Central Asia (DG External Relations)? I emailed the Trainee Unit, but I was told the standard we-can-say-nothing message.

@waiting25, I also got shortlisted for DG EPRS (structural policies unit), and haven't heard anything or received an interview... I'd really like to know soon so I can go forward with other options I have available if I didn't get it.
