March 2020 Schuman traineeship at the EP

Hi everyone.

Had an interview in December. Got Shortlisted on the 1st of Jan. Uploaded documents on the 7th Jan and no answer yet. I guess I am not on the top of their list unfortunately.

I hadn't had an interview and I think is a bit strange having it before being shortlisted.

Also, bear in mind that some of us are still dealing with documents so I believe is a bit dare to confirm you aren't top of their list as eligibity check is getting done.

Yup got my answer also on the 1st, thankfully I was shortlisted for the web communications post, also the only one I applied too. Also, on the email there's a link where it says final offer will come until the 15th of february.

Do any of you know how many people get shortlisted vs how many get picked? What are the odds of getting the offer?

Hi.

I am simply stating what I know. Also, some people have interviews with supervisors from the DG's they are applying to, as those are often more technical roles (law in my case). In regards to being top of the list: From what I heard, they almost immediately send out offers after receiving documents from those who are DG's 1st choice.

I got shortlisted for the Learning and Development Unit. No answer at the moment

Same here. I got shortlisted on the 1st. Uploaded the documents on the 7th. No answer yet. I have been told that last year most offers were send out in the last week of January. Good luck to everyone!

Just to let everyone know, I just spoke to several people on Facebook who received formal offers already. So not sure anymore how this works. I am assuming many of us are still waiting to hear from them!

I finally uploaded the documents today. I reached the Traineeship office via email and ask them what do in case we're still waiting for having the criminal record. I was advised to submit a declaration on honor and, afterwards if selected I can submit straight way to their email the scanned copy.

Yep, I was told the same. But in the end, I managed to fast-track it. It is a total nightmare of a process here in the UK and costs a lot of money if you want to do it fast!

Hopefully tomorrow, as is the deadline to submit all documents, more formal offers will be sent.
Out if curiosity, how many people applied for your position? In mine, 26 and I think perhaps half of them got shortlisted but no idea.

More than a 100 an 5 were shortlisted. But only 1 will be selected from what I know.

I asked them during the interview and they told me that 5 will be shortlisted out of those interviewed.

No idea, but I believe it isn't the DGs themselves who send the offers. It's the Trainee Outreach and Recruitment.

I believe we aren't allowed to contact the DGs we got shortlisted at. At least that's what my e-mail says

Nope.

I had received today my Criminal Record and sent it to the Traineeship Office as they told it was ok to do so after the deadline.

Hii everyone! I’m a nerve wreck right now ... I got shortlisted for my DG out of 31 who applied... but I had no interview since then or before that... can someone explain what’s going on to me?
Because I feel like the more I read in this the more anxious I get

Interesting. I got shortlisted out of 26, so I don't know how many got until this stage or if I'll have an interview.

I applied for the DG Communication, the Audiovisual Unit.

Hi, not everyone gets to be interviewed. I was for example, but some people aren't and get shortlisted.

I have to say though, this wait is ridiculous. I am literally sitting here having to wait for something to happen and can't even plan on what to do in case I don't get accepted. This whole recruitment process is hell. :/

I applied for the DG of Legislative Acts for lawyer-linguistics position ...
I can’t stop hitting refresh on my email and the traineeship page ... the wait is so frustrating
