I found out today that I'll be going to Luxembourg in October, a translation traineeship. Yay! During today's research I've come to understand this housing problem is going to be a tricky one. Let's join forces. Any tips? A friend of mine mentioned the town of Esch-Zur-Alzette (15 km from Luxembourg city) and said it might be easier to find a room there. Might be worth a try, but right now I just don't know where to look. Perhaps I should just relax until I receive more information about this whole thing.

Hi everyone!

So I was selected for the translation traineeship in October at EP in Lux and I was thrilled but I'm currently employed full time at a Portuguese Health Institution. I have a work contract so I requested an unpaid leave of absence to attend this traineeship... Right... I thought it would be granted but it wasn't... I cried all night... I really don't know what to do... I want to go so bad but I also have responsibilities in my home country and I can't afford losing my job... :'(

Hey guys!! I'm going to Luxembourg too! I got accepted at the Directorate-General for Personnel, Recruitment and Transfers Unit! Anyone from the same Unit? Any luck with finding an accomodation so far?

It depends on whether I have to visit the rooms before renting them or not. So, either I will come in the last week of September or few days before the traineeship starts..

I'm a Romanian guy looking for inexpensive but decent accommodation in Luxembourg. Also interested in rent-sharing.
I'll be starting my traineeship at the European Parliament on April 1. I haven't booked the flight as yet, but I expect to arrive about 10 days in advance to settle and get to know the surroundings.
