CoR Oct 2012

Is anyone applying for CoR 2012? Any tips on applying, i.e. what to include in motivation letter, what is a good thing to mention? I've applied once before got through to pre-selection phase and no further. But now I'm doing my MA so hoping that will help.

I'm also thinking about applying for the CoR and have never did it before.
Do you know if we have to choose a certain department and justify it in the motivation letter? I have a Tourism Bachelor Degree, so as you can understand I would fit in just 2 or 3 departments. I've been trying to complete the application form, so as to see if there is some field where to choose a department, but as long as I haven't attached my motivation letter it doesn't let me continue further.

heyyy....yes I got some reply saying that my application status has changed to "APPLICATION VALID" which means that I met the addmission criteria. that`s all....I think that preselection results will be out till the 15th of May

yeah i got that email too today! i had totally forgot that i applied to cor lol

)) yeah, well it`s such a long period of time that we have to wait, it`s normal to forget it

I also received an "Application valid" email on the 3rd of April But I think the results of the preselection stage won´t be ready until the beginning of May...

so one of the next days we are going to find out? time flies fast

I've applied for the Oct CoR traineeship, too, and just as you got it validated on 3rd April... But my status hasn't changed still and my hopes are diminishing rapidly, too! They do say that pre-selection will take place until 15th May though...

I've also applied and I'm becoming a little impatient too:) I'm still hoping to get pre-selected, but last year, the first person got an email from CoR on the 3 of May...So hopefully, it's different this year and they haven't sent any emails yet...

Hmmm...pocahontas, that doesn't sound too good to me, but as you said it's a different year so let's keep on hoping! Btw, my status is still the same and tomorrow is 15th May already. Good luck to everyone!

from what I know regarding to the previous preselection, people who did not got selected were not contacted at all, so let's hope at least that will change...

Hhmmm... I'm trying to remember whether that was really the case as I applied last year, too, and obviously didn't get pre-selected. But I keep thinking that they e-mailed everyone eventually regardless of the outcome... I guess we just have to wait and see...

I was preselected, but I heard from some people that nobody contacted in the opposit situation...

Wait, you mean you were preselected last year, right? I think that as soon as no one else gets the confirmation email, we still have a hope

2x yes. Until the preselection emails there is hope for everybody

Oh well...it's 15th May and still no change of status or maybe even worse no e-mail so I guess that was it (for me at least)! Best of luck to everybody else who's still waiting and hoping!

but an error appears, saying the page does not exist.

Has your status been changed? Mine is still as "application valid". RubinaSH, can you still see yours too?

If no one has received a positive answer yet is a good sign! We still have chances!

ever since I applied, whenever I checked my status it said: You can only check your data and The documents shall be submitted after your status has changed to "Pre-selected".....it hasn`t changed

its -Application valid- dudu.

well, mine doesn`t say so...should I worry ? I mean, I did receive the email on 3 April, with application valid like everyone else, but when I check my status onto their site, that what it says ...:-??
