Hey guys,
I had an interview with the LEGI Unit a few weeks ago and they told me that another candidate was preferred to me but that I am second on the list. Emailed them today to know if I should just forget about it or that there could be a chance for me to be taken. They told me that they are still waiting for the official confirmation from the other candidate which should be the case by next week.
So I am assuming that there might still a chance if some candidates do not respond to offer because they had a better one and that the selection process is still going on. I am still waiting an answer from the President Cabinet from which I was also shortlisted regaining some hope that it is not doomed to failure.

Did anyone received an offer from LEGI Unit? And if yes, is planning to accept it :p?

Hi, I have a little different question. Has anyone here been shortlisted and then rejected? Because I think they won´t let us know at all... they will wait till the 15th of February and then our status will turn into "not selected" and that is all... Which suck btw because we are uselessly waiting even though they have already selected the winners.

I would say you are right, and that some offers may still trickle down until Friday week but the majority are likely settled. But I still find it odd more people on here haven't mentioned receiving offers (some have of course, but seems a majority are waiting). It does indeed suck, but sure..c'est la vie.

Well we have to consider how many people apply... I think it is something about 22 thousand and only 600 are really accepted. What are the chances that all of these people would write here? They probably received an offer early in January so they didn´t write anywhere - they started looking for accommodation and that´s it.

I don't disagree with you in the slightest, mine is more of a personal observation I guess; a lot of people are posting since before January so I would have thought more would have posted about receiving an offer. Have had to feed myself some line to keep my hopes up this long

I think I have to wait until 15th of February instead of saying "oh no, we're waiting for nothing, because we're not selected.." - I don't have a answer yet from DG Comm... Maybe it's depend on the Unit of the EP; they hesitate between people ...

I'm very surprised to hear some of people saying "I am on the top of the list" because Mister X told me that. Is that true? One of my friend is now on a traineeship in Brussels, and told me we have to wait

Offers are still coming in. I rejected mine last week, so whoever is 2nd or 3rd should receive theirs. It's a mess to say the least.

Did you receive your offer straight after the deadline for submitting the documents, on 15 January? or later? Congrats!

I received the offer for the traineeship on January 14th.
Thank you! And I'm sorry for replying so late (I thought e-mail notifications were activated, but they weren't after all).

I was contacted two days ago, but had to declide the offer as I already accepted sth else while waiting for their decision, because I didn't think an offer could be made this late. So for people waiting, candidates are still rejecting offers I guess and you could still be contacted.

This might seem like a weird question but do you know which time (CET) of day they usually get in touch? If there is an actual set time of day.

Also, has anyone gotten an offer for the Directorate-General for External Policies of the Union in the Africa Unit?
