EESC internships - October 2015

Hi all,

I received an email a couple of days ago with the title ''Application form valid'' informing me that my ''application form is valid and that it will be submitted to the European Economic and Social Committee's internal services. Should your application retain the attention of one of our services, your status will change into 'Pre-selected - Awaiting documents'. "

Has anyone received the same? Do you know what does this practically mean? Or -in other words- what are our chances of being selected? It is the first time I apply for an EESC internship, so I am not really aware of the stages/selection procedure.

Hi, the "application valid" status is what I also received last week. I do not have internal information regarding who, how, when and what is doing right now, but it is logical to assume that now of all valid applications the traineeship office will make a list which will then be shared with the respective departments. If we are selected for the next stage, we will receive an email stating that we need to upload / sent documents corroborating our declarations - particularly about education, work experience and knowledge of languages, apart from ID / passport scan. So the cut the long story short, we just have to wait and hope (and apply to other places in the meantime).

Recently, i applied for internship in EESC (sep 2015-feb 2016) and few days age i received "Application form valid" as you:)
After that, i could not change or add any information to my application, although there has been written- You can also modify your application until your status will be:
-Pre-selected - reserve list
-until the database is closed
-Please note that your application can be updated until your status is "application registered"

But i am not receiving any email concerning Pre-selection so far.

That is why i am confused, why i could not change or add something??

Do you have access to your applications (could you add or change something)???

I will very appreciate if you find time to answer.

Does anybody know about how many people have applied and how many people will be accepted ?

Furthermore, does anybody know some news if someone has got a letter of pre-selection ?

Where did you get this information? It seems a fair deadline to me, since the internship starts in September. I've also received an "application valid" e-mail in April, but no updates so far. I'm non-EU (Brazil)

After "valid application" it says that pre-selection will be done in at least 30 days after reiceipt of the email. I got in the 17th of April, so I guess it will be like that

I have just received an email of preselection from the EESC. But they say "Should you have some work experiences, submit your work assessments": I did some internships, but I have no "true" work experience. Do I have to send a proof of my internships? Like my internships agreements ("convention de stage")?

Atsi: I received my "valid application" on 17th April. The unit of preselection is not specified in the email that I received (or I have not well read the email!), but I applied for units C1 (agriculture, environment), D1 (press) and D2 (visits, publications).

Arnie: for which units did you apply?

I also received my "application valid" email on the 17th of April. I'm EU citizen (Hungary) and I applied to the C2 (Employment, Social Affairs and Citizenship) and B3 (Economic and Monetary Union and Economic and Social Cohesion Unit) units.

I was pre-selected for the EESC, I uploaded my documents to the online form, I clicked on the 'Submit' button, but when I check the 'Documents' page of my application, I doN't see my documents. I tried to repeat the whole thing, but they disappear again. I first uploaded my documents at the end on last week, and at first it worked normally (uploaded, Sumóbmit button, and I could see them on the Documents page).

Anybody having the same problem?

Arnie: I uploaded the documents this afternoon and when I clicked on the "Submit" button, I saw a message saying "your application had been edited" (or something like that). But now, when I check my application, I see nothing in the part "documents" !!!

Ginestra: Yep, I experience the exact same thing. I wrote to the traineeship office, they wrote back that "Your documents are not uploaded. Our database is OK. I suppose you have encountered an informatics network problem."
Not very helpful, I'd say... I'll try again later this day and if still doesn't work, I'll write them again. (Maybe you could too, that might give more incentive for them to actually check their side of the system...)
