Questions CoR Empty Questions CoR

Hi, I apply for the traineeship at CoR for the first time this year and I would like to know is this also a paid traineeship? On the website writes that it is 'in principle' paid, this means yes or not? I can't afford to make an unpaid traineeship, so I want to know how it is.

The people I know who were doing their traineeship there were remunerated. I would apply and see what happens!

Yes, it is a paid traineeship. It is indicated on the website: "CoR trainees on a paid internship who are not gainfully employed are in principle entitled to a monthly grant. The current monthly grant is 1.000 euros. An additional monthly allowance of 100 euros can be awarded to a married trainee whose spouse is not gainfully employed. " http://www.cor.europa.eu/pages/PresentationTemplate.aspx?view=folder&id=28516a2d-0fc5-4813-9093-8bc6a932a183&sm=28516a2d-0fc5-4813-9093-8bc6a932a183#lesstag1

I want to aplly too and I am trying one week now but the form cannot be loaded in some parts, mainly in those that the browser is being refreshed. This means when you put your nationality or your language skills.. I have also the same problem with the application form of EESC, they are using the same model with the one from the COR. Am I the only one that deal with this problem? I tried also from different computers and there is again the same problem! I am so anxious becouse the deadline is quite close..

I sent them an e-mail (at the COR office) 2 days before and they told me that everything is fuctioning absolutely right. I sent them an other one yesterday indicating the error appeared to me. Some minutes before I saw that they made an announcement saying:
"Due to technical problems, the on-line application form is currently not functioning. Our helpdesk services are making every effort to remedy the situation as soon as possible. An announcement will be made via this website when the application form is functioning again. The Traineeships Office apologizes for the difficulties this may have caused."

And now what?? Will they fix it on time or not? Unbelievable..last days

I have tried to apply from different computers too and is not working. The application for CoR should be submitted only online, is that right?I haven't read that it should be sent via post, otherwise there is no time left for me due to the technical problem.

Hello everyone,

Yes the application should be submitted only online.

They replied to me today saying that:
Due to technical problems, the on-line application form is currently not functioning. Our helpdesk services has taken measures in order to solve the problem not later than Monday 28 March 2011.

Please note that the deadline for on-line applications for the traineeships period 16/09/2011 - 15/02/2012 has been extended to Friday, 8th April 2011 (till midnight)."

I copy here the whole mail that they sent me! So everything will be all right!
I hope I helped!

Let'a wish that EESC will do the same...

I confirm, it's not working. When I try adding other study periods, the server says that the webpage does not exist.... I have written to the traineeship office again. The deadline is upcoming, they must either postpone it or allow us to submit our application by email. I think that the former is the most feasible option

I wrote to them again before 3 days and also today.
Either if they postpone the deadline again, I believe the issue will remain the same. There is a consistent error and as it goes, they cannot fix it.

The best solution would be to put an application form as a pdf and let us write and send it.
Did you wrote that to them?

For me it doesn't work either. I sent them an e-mail yesterday, no reply yet. As rena_sim said, I think the best solution they can find if they can't fix the problem is to allow us to send the application as a pdf. Hopefully everything will be ok as soon as possible.

Hi, I wanted to apply today, but it seems that I have to postpone again. I find rena_sim's idea great, they should let us complete a pdf and send it via email. I can't belive that the application form still doesn't work...

Hi, I saw on the website that we can request a file and then send it via email if the application form still doens'z work (I haven't tried today). But is 7 april and the deadline wasn't postponed. Even if I request the application form in word there is no time left... I'm thinking of giving up...

You have to send them an e-mail, as it is indicated on ther website so as to send you an empty online application form. Then you will copy the data in a word or excel file, you will complete your informations and send them!

You don't even need that. If you can access to the online form, you just create a form following the former, with name, surname etc... and you send this as word file
