Looking to share apartment Brussels, March - July 2012?

Hi all

I'm Kate, 24, British and accepted to the EACI, Brussels for a traineeship in the legal section.

I don't know Brussels well but am looking for a nice apartment in the centre (other suggestions welcome) to share with 2 other people (seems like a good number).

Anyone in and we'll start the search?

I am interested in flat sharing. I am looking for flat in Etterbeek, Ixelles and Brussels City Districts. My budget of rent per month is around 400 euros including utility bills. I have a meeting with my Unit in the second week of January. I will be in Brussels to visit the area and search for flat.

Want to send me a FB message? I should say this: I'm not going to be able to visit anywhere because I'm away until 1st April (I'm starting my traineeship a month late). That said, I'm happy to pay rent from March 1st. So I'm going to have to do any research from internet only.

I'd be also interested in flat sharing. I'm Zuzana, 24 and supposed to intern at COMM.
I've got few friends who already live in Brussels, so I could ask them for some tips and suggestions, too.

Have you had any luck finding us on Facebook? I just spoke to Phyllis and we are both keen to sort out the apartment as soon as possible (we both have various engagements which mean we have to move quickly). I am also in a search for accommodation during my internship at Education and Culture DG. I am Lithuanian guy and the most appropriate way for me seems to be staying in an apartment for 3 persons.
Would anybody be interested to look for such an option together?

I'm also looking for a place in Brussels! I will be doing the March 2012 internship also in DG Education and Culture has anyone had any luck/found a place? I have tried the European Trainees Residencebut have not had a reply from them yet

Hi TomKa! Do you have facebook? There's a group I have joined called March 2012 European Commission Stage OFFICIAL GROUP, and I think about 6 people from there have already said they are from DG EAC join too! I haven't been told what unit I will be working for which is strange..they said I will be working with the DG in a group of about 6 people...hmm :s

how are you doing with accommodation? I dont know if i should just wait to get there or try and get something now! I want to share with other stargiares

I guess I am in all possible groups in facebook related with this internship And I noticed already that were are more than I expected of us having our internship at DG EAC.

Accommodation still seems to be very complicated and I try to console myself that it is too early to find something suitable as I can find the rooms which are available from February 1 the latest.
