JPD 2019/2020

Hi there!

I'm planning to apply to the 2019 batch of the JPD and I am seeking advice.
If any successful candidate could give me/us feedbacks on his/her own experience it would be super cool

Also, I saw on the application form that a 300-word statement is requested, but I was wondering whether it was 300 words by geographic region or 300 words in total ?

I noticed the old topics about the previous JPD were not that active but I'm giving it a try.

Seems like these forums are not too lively here hehe.

Knowing how short usually the general EU traineeship applications are, I would say the 300 word limit implies a total count.
Also, do you know by any chance what are exact geographical regions mentioned in the application? I'm not sure whether we should note actual regions (e.g. Western Balkans) or note specific countries already!

300 words in total I guess, Regarding the choice of the regions, you should take note of paragraph 2.2 of the Decision EEAS DEC (2014) of 22.01.2014.

Yes, I received an email for the interview! Unfortunately, I think they won't call more candidates, as we were 6!

Any news from other MSs? This forum is not as lively as it used to be!

Portugal here. still no news, but judging by last time, probably won't know anything until around the 20th of April.

In Spain so far nothing, from a friend I was informed that there were approximately 300 applications this year, although I don't know how true this is. Thanks VerAnt for your message, it is good to know that there is still at least a 2 week margin to know something.

Are you former Blue Book Trainees?

I didn't do the Blue book traineeship, although I did do an internship in a EU Delegation abroad, which it's a great experience.

I have received a positive confirmation from my MS yesterday , I also asked about the dates of final decision from EEAS / EC and there is no clear answer they said that maybe first week june.
I think that it is very different in each MS, wish you all the best!

Nope, mine is saying we'll get an answer between June, 1st and June, 15th!
