All units receive a trainee?

Hey everyone,

I was called by a Unit, and they informed me in advance that they don't know whether they will have a free slot and can accept a trainee. After the interview they asked me to write them an e-mail expressing my interest in the work of the Unit.

Is it possible that not all heads of units know whether they receive a trainee? If yes, do you have any information on the date when they will be informed about the opened positions?

As far as I know, not all units receive trainees for this session (October 2018).
I sent some emails to lobby and I got 2 replies where they told me that unfortunately their unit was not taking any trainee for this session. I also know that it is not possible for us to know which unit is taking trainees and which not...
