Hi all!

Did someone recive any news from the EU Council traineeships?

First communications should arrive in these days I guess...

nothing yet.

Any news:)?

Just heard that some have received a mail last week informing they've been preselected.

Apparently some will also have to do an interview by phone... Not sure why though.

I guess now there's only hope if someone from the shortlist decline...

Well, thanks but you should ask the Bureau des stages ( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ) to be sure. I get this email because I asked whether I was selected or not. I think it's also possible that they send the email a bit later for the September Traineeship and you have also to take into consideration that some of the selected candidates can withdraw their offer after the Commission will published the results. If I get something in the EC, it could be possibly my case. Good luck anyway

They have already replied to my email! They say that selections for the second period have not started yet and that candidates will receive an answer in March. It's very strange because some candidates already know if they are (pre)selected!

I think they want to wait until March because of the EC selections...I guess that a lot of candidates cancelled their acceptation once they know about the EC and then they will contact the backup...Or maybe it depends on the Unit....

Hello everybody and thanks for accepting my request! I’m a translator and I have just been shortlisted for a traineeship at the Translation Service for the period Sept. 2015 – Jan. 2016. Some weeks ago I got an e-mail from the Traineeship Office, informing me that I would be interviewed over the phone as from 5 January “in order to complement the information submitted in my application”. I have tried to prepare for the interview, but I’d like to ask you whether you had such interview before being selected, which questions you were asked and in which language and how formal the conversat ion was. Are there any further selection stages after the interview? Thank you in advance!

Would you be able to help with some recommendations from you experience? Which of EU institutions is better for traineeship: European Parliament, Council of the EU or European Commission? Which of them have better quality? As we have just one opportunity, I really need your experience and recommendations.
