Selected candidates by nationality

Hi everybody! I didn't want to create a very specific topic but this waiting is killing me I would like to know if any Romanian got selected until now by any unit? And regarding the interviews, I had none, someone more lucky? They normally take like 25-30 of us. I think other nationalities could use the topiv yo have a general view, good luck everybody!

Maybe it depends also on nationality. I mean that a German or French are more likely to be interviewed. Who knows..

I know cases of Ro pre-selected that they got an email in January and being asked for their availability. You will never know...just pray

No, I haven't. I don't considerated appropiate, specially after I saw so many general replies from the units in the first week. Of course, if I'm not selected this time, for the October sesion i will lobby for sure

If u didn't get any answers right away after your lobby, there are no chances you to be contacted just because you wrote them. Most suitable profiles were contacted already, for the second part we can hope the national quotes will make the difference.

I received 4 phone calls, but they said nothing about being selected or not, only shortlisted...

That is not true, I emailed some units a week ago, and got contacted by their boss (directorate, or whatever you call that) a week later.

Hi everyone. I am Romanian too, and I had one interview form one DG I didn't lobby. I wold like to know how many Romanian have choose Funding, Programming as trainee sector. From those I lobby non call till now. I sent them my email on 16 December. I hope that everything will be ok. Good luck to all!

I have chosen External Relations area

At least 5 of my Romanian friends chose the Funding and Programming department. I believe it is the most popular department in our country. As always, the competition for us is very strong: only 1 for 20 applicants will be selected. And we all have multiple degrees, internships, erasmus, jobs etc.

Hi! I am Romanian also. I was called last week on Wednesday by ECFIN DG, from B1 Unit-Macroeconomic impact of structural reforms. They said they selected my application and asked if I was contacted before by other DGs/ Units. The lady advised me that I am one of their 3 favorites and said that if am in interested in this unit and available for March 2014 traineeship, she will give my name to HR. Of course, I said yes and I was very happy about it. Actually, it was not an interview, it was just a 5 min call during which we discussed about their proposal. She advised that someone from HR should contact me, preferably before Christmas. However, I did not hear a thing from HR until now.. but I don't lose my hopes...as they called
