Size of PDF docs to be sent

Hey mates,

What is the maximum size of the PDF doc to be sent to Ms. Quiros and DeskX?

I guess most of the "pre-identified to be selected" have already sent the required docs however I haven't done it yet.

I have the same question. My file is too big, 45Mb, because all the diplomas are colour. Has anyone tried to send the documents using dropbox or wetransfer?

Hi anam1985. The e-mail we received says to scan the PHOTOCOPIES of diplomas, so you'd better have black and white photocopies so that the size will decrease. As for me I sent a 7Mb attachement to the mail (30 pages) and I didn't experienced any problems.

I had the same issues with my scans. I was not in the mood to scan my files all over again... So I used the following tools:
- http://greyscalepdf.com/
- http://www.splitpdf.com/ - i used it to split in two my coloured PDF, as it was too big for the greyscalepdf to de-colour :p.
- http://www.pdfmerge.com/ - after I got two "skinny pale" documents, i merged them back into one (make sure you dont mess the order or the pages).
So far, so good. No failed delivery message (till now, that is  )

my scans were also pretty big in size (40 MB), so after million of times of trying to decrease the size, zip the files and even send them separately in 2 different e-mails, I ended up attaching the link from Dropbox to the e-mail. Guess this option is better than not sending anything at all, and as I checked it should work without any problems..

I am still surprised about the size of some of your documents. Isn't 40MB way too large for the photocopies requested??

It is large, but I had also translations of some of the documents.. so that's why it ended up to be so big

Thank you very much for all your suggestions. I have managed to send all the documents. I have used both dropbox from yahoo for the large colour file, and the regular yahoo attachment.
I have transformed the colour pdf in black and white pdf using an online tool. The document reduced its size from 40Mb to 12 Mb. It was still too large, because the EU email addresses send a failure notice. So in order to reduce its size even more I used http://www.compress-pdf.co.uk/ tool, and the document had 6 Mb.

Is there anyone else who got this message? And any advice on what to do now?

Hi there, my zip folder is less than 6 MB, and when I send it I get the that the message that their inbox is full and that I should try to send it later. Now, is this the same message people got when their files were too big, or is this sth else. Please help, I'm not sure what to do...

Same here I compressed the files and tried to send a zip folder of a little more than 2MB and it didn't work. Neither could I send the link with the documents uploaded to Sendspace. If someone has any answer on what to do please let us know

My e-mail(s) went trough this morning, I guess they emptied the mailbox, hurry up before it clogs up again.

It happened the same to me but I don't think it should be a big deal.

At the end of the day, they both received them before the deadline.

Its the same with me. I managed to send my files to Belen, but not to DeskX.

I think we are not supposed to send a copy of our email to the respective DESK's, because their email clearly indicated that the docs should be send, and I'm quoting "to the functional mail box in copy of this message and to me (email address indicated in the signature below)."

Same here, once again. I couldn't send it earlier (different time zone) and now the e-mail to Belen went through, but the one to Desk8 didn't. If I can't send it until the end of the day, I guess I'll write to Belen and explain... They should understand

Hello everybody. I have just successfully managed to send my documents (3.40MB) both to Ms Bernaldo and Desk9. Now I am feeling weird that I did not encounter any problem..

It seems that the problem is only with Desk8.
I recommend you to send documents tomorrow in the morning, from 9 till 12. I have sent my docs today in the morning and everything was ok. So I think in the morning they check their mail box for free space but till the afternoon it is full again.

Why are some of you emailing the Desks?? It is clearly stated in the email they sent us that you have to send the docs to Mrs Belen Bernaldo to the "email address indicated in the signature below", which is hers

It says "to the functional mail box in copy of this message and to me (email address indicated in the signature below)"
