I was quoting turmuli's message from yesterday when he said he got an e-mail. If they weren't sent out yet then there's still a chance, but once the preselection e-mails are sent out, the rest can forget about it (according to experience from previous years, maybe this year it will be different)

I haven't got any email yet but I have a question. I finished my Master Degree 3 years ago. Do you think I am still eligible for the traineeship?

I got my pre-selection e-mail from COR this morning so I think it's still possible, maybe each directorate takes different amounts of time to select its potential candidates.

Mine is Directorate B - Member's service and Registry, and as far as my background is concerned looking at other people on the forum makes me think I got really lucky. I have a BS in Business Administration and I am finishing an IT-related MSc in Brussels, just one two-month internship (but it was on a project outsourced for the EC) and one year volunteering. Besides my native language I speak English, French and a bit of Spanish. I think the difference is made by the motivation and also by their national quota.
Congrats Paoly, I'm also really curious about the interview, maybe somebody on the forum who went through this stage before could give us more details?

I am graduated in Archives and Libraries Sciences and I've got some experiences in working in archives. I speak Italian, English and a little bit of French and Spanish.

I think my motivation letter made me eligible candidate for COR because I wrote it by hand as five pages and I explained my background how related with COR and the department.

Yes I talked with one of the administrators of the COR, It took half an hour. Before the interview, she sent me email to determine specific time to talk.

Tumuli what's your directorate of destination? What did he ask you?

regarding EESC, I received an e-mail yesterday saying my status went from "Pre-selected Awaiting Documents" to "Pre-Selected Eligibility Check Confirmed".
so I guess there's nothing one can do now but wait...

Hi Paoly, my pre-selected unit is "Unit E3 - Euro-Mediterranean Assembly of Local and Regional Authorities (ARLEM), Decentralised Cooperation, Contact Group with Council of Europe"

It was going like general interview, I mean it was included some basic questions such as why do you want to be trainee in COR, what's your experiences, how can you benefit to us, etc.. But, the talking with COR administrator was not too formal, was so friendly.

I was preselected too for the departement of Events/forum/open days of the COR.
I was also interwied and now I m waiting..
The interwiew was the day before yesterday and they told me that I have to wait 15 more days to know if I am at "the top of the list" ...

I got an email on the 16 May saying that I was preselected as trainee for the PES Group Secretariat at the CoR. The week later I had 2 phone interviews about my motivation, expectations and the application I handed in.
This monday I was chosen as the trainee for September 2013.

Looking forward to meet all the other lucky chosen ones.
