Dress code
Thu Sep 01, 2011 4:48 pm
Hey all,
this might be a rather irrelevant question, but I was still wondering: What's the dress code for trainees in the Commission? I am aware that it wouldn't be appropriate to show up with jeans, but is it more business casual or do we have to dress up with suits/dresses?
Thank you and can't wait to see you soon in Brussels!

it all depends, jeans might be acceptable in some places but in some not really, which DG is it?

Well actually I don't know if I should write it here since it's just my personal idea about certain DGs so I probably shouldn't be sharing it in a public forum Anyways be prepared that there are considerable differences between different DGs.

Hey Aneena, thanks! But could you write me a PM for the dress code in DG ELARG? Just a little hint would already help me...

Oh, does really nobody know about the dress code at EU institutions in general? Former stagiares, where are you? It would be really really helpful to know...

Hi guys,
I asked my contact person in the EC and told me " There is no particular dress code. I suppose it could be described as "smart". It actually also depends a lot from one service to another". So, I am in the same situation as before, please any advice on DG DEVCO? thank you very much!!!
