Sending mine also on Monday In the FAQ it is stated that we don't get any confirmation that the documents have arrived:
57) Q: Will I be sent confirmation that the Traineeships Office has received my documents?
A: No. If the Traineeships Office finds a problem with your documents, we will contact you by e-mail

I was reading the topic from last year and I see that they were sending us the admisson letter after 20 of august...seems a lot of time

Good morning everyone! I have been selected! DG COMM in Brussels is waiting for me. I still cannot believe it. I sent the hard copies and i received a mail from Luxembourg stating my application was complete and eligible. Is there anyone else selected for DG COMM?

Hi guys! I'm glad I've found this forum! I have not been selected but I am on the waiting list. Has anyone from the waiting list heard from the traineeship office again? I was also wondering when was your deadline to send the documents.

Yes, I received an email a few weeks ago saying I was put on the reserve list. A week later, they emailed me again offering me the place as the initial candidate had dropped out. So there is hope!

Hello, did anyone receive the admission letter and other information? They only send an email to me in july about the fact that my application is complete and eligible and that they will send the admission letter during the month of august
If anyone here is interested in sharing a flat in Brussels please let me know and maybe we rent together.

Hello reea06! They wrote me back after they received all the documents, but the admission letter will arrive later this month. I would love to share a flat as my budget is not very high.

I have received my admission letter 5 days ago, but they'll send me some information regarding my traineeship during August.

When are you all going to start looking for accommodation? I'm not sure whether to wait until I am out there (which sounds a bit terrifying!) or start looking online now.

Hello, Marie23! I started to look for accommodation online but until now it seems difficult because 1st of October is too late... a good site is www.appartager.com

I am also happy to have been accepted especially that I did not expect it and it was a great surprise.
I am starting to look for accomodation in Luxembourg so if anyone wants to share a flat please PM me.

I've been accepted to DG Comm and am anxious about the whole accommodation thing. I don't speak French so am worried that will cause issues. Has anyone received the official admission letter yet? I have to give a month's notice in work but I'm not saying anything until I receive that letter.

No, I haven't received the official letter yet, only confirmation via email that they received all my documents (which I think they only sent me because I asked them too).

I think they said we would receive it in august so with any luck, it should be here soon.

Ahh yes, I received that email too. Fingers crossed. I think accommodation will be the toughest hurdle now. Once that's sorted, it may actually start to feel real

I am still waiting for the admission letter however I have been in contact with my supervisor so they are already in the planning stage for my arrival which is nice. Hey guys, I have a question. Since it starts the 1st of October, we are not required to arrive in Brussels before this date, right? I mean, there is no orientation or stuff like that, right?
