Just for the record: CoR sent me the "Application valid" mail on 2015-10-14, and the EESC on 2014-10-08. Add those 30 days, and we should receive updates by the CoR on 2015-11-13 and by the EESC 2014-11-07 (given that this is a Saturday, I'd rather expect news on 2014-11-06).

I received both the "application valid" the same days like you. I guess the preselected will receive an answer before than people not pre selected

Hi everyobdy !
I received too a "application valid" from both but EESC did not precise the exact time of the preselection as CoR precised that we are gonna receive an email at the latest 30 days after the reception of the "application valid" email.
Anyway good luck to all of you ! Let's wait and see

I advise you to check your online application form of the EESC as the status has been updated.

About CoR: some replies were already sent last week. However I suppose (I hope) the selction process is still not over, since some applications' status are still on "application valid/you can only check your data", without any further info (selcted or reserve list). Any similar situation out there?

Yeah same here. I have no idea regarding the COR, since I am still on the application valid status. Sidenote, my status for the EESC did change to ''pre-selected''.

Hello Gilo91! I have been not selected and in my case I can tell you my background, if that can make you feel better... I have a bachelor degree in business administration, a master degree in auditing and accounting, 2 abroad experiences , a course at the LSE in London, advanced level in English, medium level in French (without certificate), and a internship in an unknown office for 6 months. that 's all. I am from Spain

Hey Gilo91. It doesn't seem like I stand out that much from SaDiAm. I also have multiple study abroad experiences and while my master is in International Relations, my bachelor was in finance. I did a few internships and have been studying a third language. I might have been lucky, and/or it depends on nationalities. Perhaps people from my country didn't really apply so I got more chance in getting in, while there were more people from your country applying. That said, I didn't get officially selected yet.
Oh yeah, I got placed on the reserve list for COR.
If I by any chance won't make it, I'll keep on practicing my third and/or fourth language. It seems that they are really keen on languages. Perhaps you could try to do the same?

It is quite annoying not to know why you have been turned down. You spend hours in filling and completing the application form but they don't seem to care about it and don't even bother to give you any reason. Unfortunately, the selection processes in most European institutions are completely opaque. I wonder if they have any criteria to select the applicants.

For the pre-selected EESC candidates, when could we expect to hear if we are officially selected for the EESC traineeship?
