October traineeship

I am opening this thread for the EP October intake so that we can discuss any info we have come across. Usually around the end of June applicants receive some preliminary notification such as phone interviews, but this is not mandatory. Still it will be good to know if anyone gets any kind of information.

I totally agree. Although I doubt that we may have any news before mid-July. Do you have any information on how it works after we are preselected?

I have applied for the EP traineeship before and from my experience if you receive information around mid-July, the chances are you will be informed of not being selected. Many selected applicants in previous years received some form of notification around the end of June and first week of July such as e-mail or even telephone interview. However this is not applicable in all departments of the EP so it is fairly possible to get the traineeship e-mail at the mid of July itself. This is why I wanted to ask people to share information in case they got some news the this or next week.

No not yet, I have got some friends who were accepted last year who got an email in the first week of july so it should happen soon. However, I am wondering on which objective criteria they will base their selection as there wasn't any proper form to fill in our experience...

Any answers guys? I know that some of my friends got phone calls in the mid of June about their EP traineeship, but as far as I know we should be getting answers this week.

The final and definite feedback we all will receive after 2 weeks. Some departments call applicants in order to finalize their selection choice in case they have doubts about which one to offer a place. You can get the positive response in mid-July without an interview. Let us see if we receive any advance information by tomorrow, but they will not tell anyone that they are selected before mid-July. Do you know which departments your friends have applied to?

Job searcher, how do u know that we will receive answers this week/tomorrow? I was interviewed mid june but nothing more

- Did you apply for the Schuman traineeship journalist option or General option or the training placement (which is unpaid).
- Were you contacted by the DG you applied for (if yes, which one?)

Hi ginestra, congrats once more, I want to ask you one last question though. Can you tell me whether they ask you to submit the documents by a certain day already or it is only an informative message of being selected.

Candidate: They ask me to send the documents before the 20th of July.

Hi ginestra congratulations on your selection! you must be delighted! Do you mind if I ask what DG is it that you are selected for? I am just wondering as I think some DGs are earlier than others to inform candidates if they have been successful or not. So if its the same DG that I applied for well then I probably haven't been successful. ahh i'm so impatient now! I hate waiting :'(

Any answers today? We can still hope for the next week as it depends from DG to DG.

I received an email on Friday staying that I was put on reserve list for the Directorate-General for Parliamentary Research Services (Schuman traineeship - General option). Has anyone heard from that DG as well?

I wish all the DGs would send their emails the same day. I hate playing the waiting game. If anybody has heard back from the Legal Service I would really appreciate it if you could post! Best of luck to all those still waiting!

today i just received an email saying i was not selected. paid traineeship, general option.

Hi! I have been selected for the DG Communication (Schuman Traineeship - General Option). First they told me that I am in the Reserve List (on 3 July), then two days ago they sent me another e-mail writing that the selected candidate didn't accept the offer of traineeship.

I got little bit confused.
If only one, then unfortenatly I am not selected.
