For the February 2013 session they've sent the emails on December, 17 in the evening... And days later to the ones rejected.

Did anybody else get the email this morning? I have been put on the reserve list should a selected candidate be unable to take up a traineeship. Same as last time and nothing happened so I'm more than likely out.

My areas of interest were: 1. Foreign Affairs 2. Common security and defence policy 3. Publishing and preparation of publications.

Should a selected candidate be unable to take up our offer of a traineeship, I shall contact you again. If this is not the case, the Traineeships Office will consider your file as closed.

Therefore, we are not able to give you the exact date by which we might contact you for a possible offer of a traineeship.

jamesob good luck and thanks for posting the email. It looks like they matched candidates with division very randomly! unless you did apply for Dublin?

@izabean I think I did select Dublin as my third choice location. I am Irish and have experience in the printing industry so maybe that had something to do with it.
I have no work experience in the first two areas I choose, apart from studying in those areas in University.

hey everyone!

I also received an email this morning, stating that I have been put on the reserve list for the DG for Parliamentary Research Services in Brussels..

This is my first time applying to an European Institution and not really sure what happens next.. Given the fact that most people will jump for this traineeship, i think the chances are slim for someone to drop out.. But let's have faith eh?

Has anybody been informed about being selected? This is so confusing - I got preselected and shortlisted for one DG at the Commission, I thought that it's easier to be accepted to the EP...
